Nitrofurantoin-N-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyljS-D-g1ucoside) was synthesized under phase transfer catalysed conditions, it was then characterized by NMR (proton) and Mass spectrometry (EI) for the Phase-II metabolic study of Nitrofurantoin.
