Formation COnstants of Cobalt (II) and Murexide 1:1 Complex in Methanol-Water Mixture

The formation constant of Cobalt(ll) and Mmexide (1:1) complex were obtained spectrophotmetlically in water and 1.8, 3.7, 5.7, 7.8, and 10.1 mole percent ofmet1lanolin water at 294°, 298°, 304°, and 309° K. The enthalpies and entropies were calculated and the data was ex­plained in term, of ordering-disordering effect of co-solvent on bulk solvent water.
