Dehydroacetic acid oxime (DAO) has been used as a ligand for spectrophotometric determination of cobalt. The reaction took place in a slightly acidic medium at pH 5.8 and Coe DAO complex showed lmax at 645 nm and the absorption was observed to be free from any spectral interferences.
