The complete series of the six phenyl/4-pyridyl mego substituted porphyrins were synthesized and characterized by analysis. The PMR spectra were consistent with the assigned structural representations. The new compounds, and othep that can be made by similar procedures, will be useful both for kinetic and energy related surfactant studies.
