Starting from p-halo-benzaldehyde, five-step syntheses of 6-(p-halobenzyl) 1,2,4 triazine-3,5 (2H,4H) dithiones VI(a-c) have been described according to scheme 1. The spectroscopic data and antimicrobial activity of these compounds have also been reported.
