Hydantoin in Heterocyclic Synthesis: Synthesis of new Imidazopyridine, Imidazotriazole, Pyrazolopurinone, Pyranoimidazole, Imidazopyridazine and Imidazopyrazole Derivatives

A New series of imidazopyridine, imidazotriazole, pyrazolopurinone, pyranoimidazole, imidazopyridazine and imidazopyrazole derivatives were synthesized from the reaction of hydantion and its derivatives using a variety of electrophilic and nucleophilic reagents under mild conditions. The structures of the synthesized compounds were established via their elemental and spectral analyses.
