Derivatization Reactions of Fluorenyl-Substituted Chlorosilanes

Derivatization reactions  of   9-methyl-9-(2-trichlorosilylethyl)fluorenc [C6H5- C6H5(CH3CCH2CH2SiCl3)] (1) with nucleophilic reagents such as MeOH, LiAlH4, n-BuLi and Grignard reagents give the corresponding compounds [C6H5-C6H5(CH3CCH2CH2SiR3)] where 2(R=CH3), 3(R= butyl), 4(R=hexyl), fi(R=OCH3) and 6(R=H). All the prepared compounds were characterized by GC/MS, 1H and 13C-NMR spectroscopy.
