Ethylemediamine tetracetic acid (EDTA) is one of the best chelating agents for Fe3+ in seawater and plays an important role in the mechanism of phytoplankton growth. In this research work, it was tried successfully to extract EDTA by a liquid-liquid extraction process using acetophenone and benzyl alcohol as solvents at different pH. 14C EDTA Na2 was also used to make the process successful.
