The ion exchange behaviour of A1PO4 was determined potentiometrically for Cu2+ and Ca2+ ions under different experimental conditions of metal ions concentrations and temperatures. The potentiometric titration data were also employed to determine the deprotonation constants of A1PO4 in the temperature range 303-323K, which were found to be dependent upon the temperature, concentration and nature of the metal cations. The values of deprotonation (pKa) constants were used to estimate the apparent thermodynamic parameters. Both the positive values of DH and Ds showed that the deprotonation process was endothermic and spontaneous in nature.
