SYNTHESIS OF SILICON DERIVATIVES OF 1,3-DIOXABUTYLBENZENE AND 3'-(1,3-DIOXABUTYL)PYRIDINE

Silicon containing compounds, 1,3-dioxabutylbenzene and 3'-(1,3-dioxabutyl) pyridine have been investigated for pseudorotation on pentacoordinated silicon atom. H-1 and Si-29-NMR at ambient and different temperatures were recorded and no evidence was found for intramolecular O Si coordinate bond in these compounds.
